This program trains and develops dance majors under the age of 24 worldwide into next-generation leaders in the dance community by providing them opportunities to participate and craft high-quality performances. It seeks to push the boundaries of the international dance world, promote the discovery and growth of new dance talents, and create a global platform for cultural exchange and collaboration
DaDaDa Festival has been organized with the aim to create the culture of an interactive performance and art festival and provide opportunities for citizens to communicate and get healed from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Hanaro Festival has been planned and organized as an on- and off-line festival for the citizens of Seoul fatigued from the COVID-19 pandemic. For this purpose, artists with physical disabilities join with other citizens in sharing a variety of cultures. Through the diversified dance performances, Hanaro Festival will offer a festive venue for citizens to experience unity regardless of physical disabilities.
Color of Dance Festival has been organized as an international event to promote and enhance the stature of K-Dance. For this aim, renowned Korean and international dance groups and dancers will be introduced to the world, support will be given to choreographers with potentials to lead K-Culture Era and new choreographers with diversified talents and capabilities will have their arenas for work expanded.
The first World Dance Expo Seoul 2021 is held to promote international cultural exchange through its own activities including international festivals, performances, and conferences. The opening ceremony will be held without spectators and broadcasted live through the online platform.
World Ballet Gala 2021 provides citizens high-quality attractions of world-class dance arts by presenting performances by world-class dancers. In addition, it is equipped with programs to improve citizens cultural and artistic maturity, and to open, internationalize and futurize culture and arts.
This was the first World Dance Expo being held in Seoul. The inaugural World Dance Expo Seoul 2021 was kicked off on September 7th beginning with the pre-festivities. Large-scale dance performances were held for 116 days, and we close the event today.
